A Heart Rate Monitoring System Task 4
Generate a BOM (bill of materials) spreadsheet to include all the parts that you need for the project and the cost. Plan for a workshop for high school students.

1. How long is the workshop?
Either a 4-hour workshop in one day or two 2-hour sessions in two days.

2. What are the final products students are going to build?
A mobile oximeter with a 9V power source, Arduino Nano, MAX30102 sensor, and SSD1306 OLED display.

3. What are the cost of materials for each student?

Figure 1 displays Plan 1, which is the cost per student if we gave them USB cables (type B to mini-USB and type B to type A) and an Arduino R3 board (not including the shipping costs for Digikey and Amazon). The total cost for one student is approximately $116.73.

Figure 2 displays another option, Plan 2, without the USB cables and Arduino Uno R3:

If going with Plan 2, one student would cost approximately $81.09.

4. How much would you charge for each student?
Going with Plan 1, I would charge each student $175.00 which is a profit of $58.27.

Going with Plan 2, I would charge each student $122.00 which is a profit of $40.91.

5. How much profit you can earn from this workshop if you have 20 students registered.
In Fig.01, Plan 1, the total costs for parts for 20 students is $2339.34 (not including the shipping costs for Digikey and Amazon) if we included the USB cables and Arduno Uno R3. If we charged each student $175.00, then our total profit would be $1160.66.

In Fig.02, Plan 2, the total costs for parts for 20 students is $1626.54 (not including the shipping costs for Digikey and Amazon) if we excluded the USB cables and Arduno Uno R3. If we charged each student $122.00, then our total profit would be $813.46.

6. Design a flyer for this event to attract participants. The drawings and art on the flyer must be original work.

7. Design a webpage to include a Dummy Paypal option on it for customers to checkout. A tutorial on Paypal App. Use you CE351 page to do this.
You can also use GPay or other Apps as long as it works.
